Mystery Pokémon Theater 3000: Submissions
Do you have a badfic that you want us to MST the crap out of? Great! Here's how to submit your work to us.
Warning
WARNING. Submitting your work means you're giving us permission to use it on our site for the purpose of MSTing it. We will not claim your work is ours, and we will never try to insult you personally. However, we will basically rip apart your work and make fun of what makes it a badfic. If you object to this, do not send in your work for us to MST. Likewise, do not flame us for any reason after we post your fic. We will present proof that you gave us the permission to do this to your fanfiction.
Also, as stated on the Explanation page, we do this for fun, with the permission from every author we MST. Please don't go around MSTing someone else's fic without their permission, and if you do, please don't say you got the idea from us. We'd rather not be involved in drama triggered by someone else's stupidity.
Further Rules
1. First and foremost, do not submit any work that is not yours. That's just not cool. The only fanfics we can accept are fanfics written by you and you alone. Yes, that means we're not even taking collaboration fics.
1a. If you find out someone submitted one of your fics as if it was their own, please tell us, and we will happily take it down and insinuate dirty things about the sender's mother.
2. No smut fics. First off, this isn't an adult site, although we do have R-rated themes all over the place. Second, smut fics are inherently funny and self-mocking already.
3. Although you're free to submit incomplete works, we'll work with only the first twenty-five pages for the sake of our sanity. Please don't ask us why we didn't do the entire thing.
4. Pokémon fics only. Hence the name, Mystery Pokémon Theater 3000.
5. MSTing is a slow process, and coding all of it is even more time-consuming. After submitting your fic, please don't ask us why we haven't written an MST quickly enough. We will deliberately move your story to the end of the queue if you do.
How to Submit
Okay, so we good on what you can and can't do? Good. Now, when you've got your fic ready, please submit it to Jax via a special forum on the board (which you'll be linked to at the bottom of this page). Yes, you will need to be a member in order to do so. This just filters out spam and whatnot.
In any case, hit the new thread button and include this form somewhere in the post:
Name: (Whatever you wish to be called.)
Penname: (The name you used when you posted this work, if different, so we can cross-check that it's your fic.)
Fic Title: (Obviously, what your fic is called.)
Rating: (Use MPAA/movie ratings, please. Also, include warnings, such as blood, gore, drug usage, sexual references, whatever.)
Summary: (Brief summary of the fic. Will be used in the MST as well.)
Other Notes: (Anything else you think would be cool to know. Suck up to us. Whatever.)
File: (As an attachment. Valid formats are DOCs, RTFs, or HTMLs because those are all I can open. Links to sites work too so long as you can prove you did it. DO NOT POST YOUR STORY IN THE BODY OF THE POST.)
